Who we collect at Ladybirds After School Club
We pick up directly from eight local primary schools, so there’s a good chance we’re already collecting from your child’s:

Our team meets the children at the school gates, does the headcount, and brings them straight to us at Seven Towers Leisure Centre — safely, on time, every day.
It’s not just “minding” — it’s development
Here’s the bit we’re proud of. Ladybirds isn’t a room where children sit and wait for home time. From the minute they walk through our doors, there’s something going on — arts and crafts, team games, sports in the leisure centre space, quiet reading corners for the ones who need to decompress after a long school day, and themed activity sessions that change regularly to keep things fresh.
Along the way, without even realising it, the children are:
• Building confidence — trying new activities in a relaxed, no-pressure setting
• Developing social skills — mixing with children from different schools and year groups, learning to share, negotiate and make new friends
• Practising independence — small responsibilities, choices, and self-led play
• Winding down properly — a genuine break between the structure of school and the structure of home, which matters more than people realise for a child’s mood and behaviour in the evening
Parents often tell us their child is calmer and happier by bedtime on the days they’ve been at Ladybirds — and we think that’s down to giving children space to just be children for a couple of hours, doing things they enjoy, with people who know them.
A team that knows your child
Our staff aren’t just supervising — they’re consistent, familiar faces your child sees several times a week. That relationship matters. Children settle faster, open up more, and look forward to coming when they know and trust the people looking after them.
Term time and school holidays covered
During term time we run Monday to Friday, 2pm–6pm, right after the school day ends. In the school holidays — including our Summer Scheme — we extend to 8am–6pm and add in trips, themed weeks and full days of activities (more on that in our summer scheme blog).
